Jenna's First Picnic

Yesterday we went on Jenna's first picnic. It was a beautiful day and Paul finally had a Saturday off work, so we packed sandwiches and walked to the park. Jenna was originally wearing this:

But as soon as we got to the park, she "leaked" out of her diaper! Since this NEVER happens, I hadn't brought another outfit (all you mothers are shaking your heads, I'm sure...) so Jenna had our picnic wearing this:

Jenna had a blast! She got attacked by Swedish Fish:

walked around:

and played in the grass:

Basically, it was a success! Right when we got home, though, Andrea and Spencer asked if we wanted to do BBQ with them for dinner. So, Jenna also had her first BBQ yesterday! She was really tired when we got back - happy sleeping for us!

We love our baby!

Our Car Was Stolen! Sort of...

Last Saturday I was taking Jenna for a walk...
As we left, I distinctly remember looking at the car and thinking Man, I parked way to close to the curb!, and then off we went. It was about a billion degrees out, so we were only out for about a half hour before we came back. We walked through the parking lot, and as I was getting Jenna out of her stroller, I glanced back and thought Wow, there's no cars in the parking lot... That's wierd that everyone is gone. Then I did a double take and my heart stopped. Wait, there are NO cars in the parking lot! You'd think that I would be freaking out, but I don't think that I really believed it. I continued to get Jenna out and put the stroller away, and kept looking over to our spot, as if I somehow missed seeing the car. I even walked over and stood in our spot, to make absolutely sure that I was not losing my mind. Finally, the panic set in. Aaaaaah! Our car is stolen! I didn't lock the doors! What are we going to do? Do I call the police?
Luckily, I decided to call Paul first. It turns out he came home early from his NACC Conference in Vegas, and wanted to surprise me! He got me these beautiful flowers:

Then he used a gift card he won in Vegas to buy me Guitar Hero. Woot!
What a thoughtful husband! On Father's Day, he took care of Jenna so I could sleep in and then he made me breakfast in bed! I said, "Hey, I'm supposed to be doing nice things for you today" and he just shrugged and said, "You do nice things for me every day." In the words of Brian Regan: Can life get better? I submit that it canNOT!
I love you, Paul!

Cute faces...

One of the first laughs!

She started laughing at me singing "Book of Mormon Stories".

Now she'll laugh at random things... always something different.

Hiking The Y

The carrier weighed more than Jenna! I think it's for more "heavy duty" hiking. We ended up just carrying Jenna down by herself.

We made it!!! See the "Y"?

Yeah! Go BYU!

Our Little Inchworm!

She actually moves pretty far doing this!
And it's how she first learned to roll over!

2 months old!

If you look closely, you can see Jenna's first CTR ring on her pinky!
She likes to play in her saucer and look around.
And she found her first friend, Kaden Smith.

Jenna's Blessing Day!

Mommy and Jenna

Daddy and Jenna

She was sooo small!

She had jaundice for about a month! She had to lay in this lighted suitcase for days.

Let me out!

She was always smiling (although this is kind of a smirk). It's hard to tell exactly when they became "real" smiles.

Cute, huh? We didn't pose her like that.

This is the ONLY picture with a binky. She will NOT take them!
She will act like it's choking her when we put it in her mouth.

We're pregnant!

Six months along.

Eight months along.

Nine months along! Just days before she was born.

Honeymoon !!!

We took a cruise to Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel.
They folded our towels into animals everyday. Needless to say, that entertained us quite a bit!
