jenna's 9th

Oh, how we all love our adorable, sweet, silly nine year-old!

On her last day as an eight year-old, Jenna lost a tooth with a bracket still attached. Since it was her birthday, the tooth fairy delivered her surprise inside a balloon.

Donut holes for breakfast! She always requests donuts, but we had to get them late Saturday and all they had left was holes. Still yummy!

We saved presents and cake for her party, but we still gotta celebrate the day!

The boys and I brought her favorite lunch and popsicles to share with her class on Friday.

This girl always plans her birthday in January, and she knows exactly what she wants. This year she wanted a pirate cake, pokemon pinata, and her very first sleepover with her two best friends!

We finished the night of fun by falling asleep while watching Moana.

february

We were all super excited to head to Texas for our twin nephews' baptisms!

Except that my whole family got sick, one at a time. It was just a 24-hr. fever where you can't stay awake. Paul started it the day before our trip. Then my anti-nap kids took turns sleeping the days away. First Jenna slept most of the car ride to Houston. Liam slept through the baptism (he just conked out right there on the chairs) and most of the day afterwards. Then the next day Gavin fell asleep on the stairs waiting for us to get ready for church.

During my turn teaching preschool this month, the kids were building patterned towers and being the most adorable ever. They were helping each other, having conversations, and sharing the blocks so well. I just sat back and let my heart burst!

Liam's first trip to the dentist! I was nervous because he hates going to the doctor, and doesn't generally like being touched by strangers. But the staff made it so relaxing and fun for him, that he's excited to go back!

Paul took Jenna out on a daddy-daughter day. He had to stop by work, so they got some food and watched the lacrosse game. Then they went to the museum and did a class on the art of paper folding. And probably got ice cream afterwards :)

Gavin thinks that every sweater comes with a hood on it. Here he is, ready to go! Paul couldn't resist taking a picture:
