Baby Boy

Our little boy is growing fast and letting me know he's in there just about all day long!

This was taken at 28 weeks, and I'm growing fast!

We had to get a second ultrasound because they wanted to compare his growth (no arguments here!) so we got to see him in 3D:

Welcome to the 3rd trimester! I'm starting to want naps again as my energy level plummets, but I'm still feeling pretty good. He is still sideways in my tummy (Jenna was too) so instead of kicking my ribs or bladder, he beats up my poor hips all day! I get a little bit of heartburn most nights, but it's nothing that a yummy milkshake can't fix!
Nesting is in full swing! We already set up his cradle and toys! So, as soon as we get some little boy clothes, we are ready and excited to welcome this little guy home!

We love our little boy! Can't wait to meet him!

a little outing

Paul's mom, Jarom and Kristy, Kevin and Hilary, and us decided to get together once more before all the babies are born. Yep, we're all preggers, including Alissa (who unfortunately lives in Houston...)! So we tried to pick a place about equidistant between us and found a little town called Roanoke Rapids.

My Sis-in-Law, Hilary, gives a much better description of our trip (and actually took pictures of people other than Jenna!) here.

Basically, we played at a park for a bit, played a round of frisbee golf, then decided it was way too hot so we went bowling! It was Jenna's second time in a bowling alley, and she had a blast!

We put up the bumpers, and she bowled granny-style. It took about 45 seconds for her ball to get to the pins, and it was often a close race between her ball and the pin sweeper thing, but she usually got 1-3 pins down!

Whenever any of the rest of us didn't get a strike (which was most of the time) Jenna would give us a big enthusiastic "X" with her fingers. And when we got a strike, we got a "CHECK"! A little backwards, but it was still so funny!

I think her favorite part was waiting for her ball to pop out and organizing them all on the rack. Even though Jenna and I used the same color and size ball (I know, I'm a wimp - Hey, I'm pregnant!) she still knew every time if I was grabbing hers!

We're so glad we got to get together again, and we managed to have a fun day in a boring little town. So, mission accomplished!
