16 months

At 16 months:
-Our silly boy is so happy, and he laughs at himself all the time. Seriously, all.the.time. He has the best laugh of all time, and is extremely ticklish! A perfect combination.
-Liam took his first steps at 10 months. A week later he was walking across the living room, and he hasn't looked back. Now he is running, dancing, and trying to jump. Its nearly impossible to get a picture of him that isn't just a blur.
-He only says three words: "Mama" which means mom and more, "Dada" means dad and Jenna, "Hi" means I'm excited! His other favorite sounds are "Ooooh" and "Wow". He seems to understands pretty much everything we tell him, and manages to communicate whatever he wants to us. Of course, that's probably because 90% of what he wants is food :)
-Liam is our little shark: he eats everything in sight and has a ton of teeth!
-He's a pretty typical boy: he loves destroying things, throwing things, and climbing on absolutely everything! He is definitely becoming a handful, running from one thing he's not supposed to climb on to the next.
-His favorite toy right now is any kind of container he can open and close, hide things inside, and/or climb in and out of. He also loves books, crayons, and zooming his cars around.
-Sadly, he's quit giving kisses. When we ask, he just offers us his cheek. So silly! But he still gives great hugs, and I absolutely love when he randomly runs over to give me a big cuddle. We're loving him more and more every day!

3 month update :)

So, when I became pregnant with Liam, I stopped blogging for 2 months. This time (wink wink) it was 3 months. I guess if I ever go 4 months, you'll know why!
I was pretty sick and tired for a bit, got pretty busy around Christmas, and basically just let time get away from me. I didn't take a lot of pictures either, but here's some of what I did take:

My mom is giving traveling nursing a try, and did a 3 month contract here in Maryland. We begged her to stay with us, and she took amazing care of us! I'm telling you, having my mom live with us during the first trimester of pregnancy was the best thing ever. I got way too spoiled, and Jenna and Liam loved spending time with Grandma :)

Jenna's best bud had a birthday, and his mom asked me to make the cake. Even in the midst of first-trimester blues, I can never turn down the opportunity to make a fun cake! But I was a little tired, so I just copied my friend Andrea's cake she made for her son's Angry Bird party.

For Halloween I finally did my first sewing project! I made Paul's Lord Sidius robe to match Liam and my Fauna hat and cape to match Jenna. We had fun at our Ward Party, Jenna's school parade, and Trick'or'Treating a few days later.

In November, Paul and Jenna took a quick road trip to South Carolina to help Paul's mom clean out her shed so she can sell her land. They had a great time together, and it was nice to have a quiet weekend with my little boy!

My family came out here for Thanksgiving. We had a full house, lots of food, games, and fun! I didn't take any pictures, but Jenna's drawing of our dinner is pretty accurate:

clockwise: Rebecca, Grandma, me, Jenna, Paul, Grandpa, Daniel, Ryan, and Liam is lying on the ground :)
As soon as they left we ran out to get our Christmas tree!

Jenna had two snow days in a row (her excitement could not be contained!)

We made these cute projects:

And made our big announcement:

Coming in June !!!
Then on Christmas Eve we drove the 14 hours to St. Louis to spend the Holiday with my family! It was the first time in a long time we all got together, and I'm so glad we did it. Jenna asks me all the time when she can play with Isabel (her only girl cousin) again :)

We had to get in a trip to the amazing St. Louis Zoo (best zoo ever!) while we were there, and of course it was awesome! We even happened to be there on the elephant Raja's 21st birthday and got to see a bit of his celebration!

The trip back home wasn't quite as fun, and we found out that Liam gets car sick as well. Awesome.

On New Year's Day we took Jenna ice skating! She wasn't having a ton of fun while we were there, but as soon as we got home she said she wanted to do it again, so I suppose it was a success. In hindsight, we probably shouldn't have let her stay up until midnight and then wake her up at 7am to get to the free ice skating.

And, finally, we've just been enjoying family time and all the mischief Liam has been getting into :)
