nursery

So, I feel like as soon as your child starts walking, every Sunday someone says something about the "countdown to nursery". I usually play along and say I'm so excited for it. But it's all a lie! I was dreading releasing my little baby into the den of three year-old giants! But that may just be the pregnancy talking...

Liam did pretty well on his first day. We knew Paul would have to be the one to drop him off, because he's a mama's boy and because I'm a little emotional right now :)
I think he just sort of stood around watching the other kids most of the time. About halfway through, they had to bring him to me for a diaper change and when I brought him back they asked me to stay a little bit because one of the leaders had to step out. I left again at snack time, and he was okay for the rest of class.
So there were no tears his first day, but for the rest of the week he was very clingy and cried every time I even left the room.

His second time in nursery Paul dropped him off again, but someone left the door open and he ran out to me when he saw me walking by. One of the leaders held him while he cried for a couple minutes, but they said he did well the rest of the time.

Since then, we have learned that he goes much more willingly and loves playing with the men. I guess there's only room for one woman in his life ;)
Luckily, they called a very sweet couple as his leaders and Liam loves playing with the husband.
Things are going well now, and Paul and I are enjoying just a couple more childless weeks in Sunday School!
