Pictures from the rest of our relaxing summer at home
The week after we got back from Charleston Jenna got to go to Art Camp in the afternoons and then swimming lessons at the lake. They were both super fun for her (and super cheap for me!) and the boys got some extra beach play time.
We went to Chiles Orchard when the peaches were ripe. Jenna loved it, but I spent most of the day trying to stop Liam from throwing the peaches and Gavin from eating the rotten ones! Before we left we had some homemade peach frozen yogurt, then later made our own peach cobbler, yum!
We went to a nearby drive-in theater to see Inside Out. Then we turned the car around, the kids fell asleep, and Paul and I got to see Jurassic World. It was definitely fun. Jenna asks us all the time when she can sleep in the car again!
On the 4th of July we found a parking lot on a hill near the fireworks, but far enough away so the kids wouldn't have to cover their ears. We played the MoTab's God Bless America CD and ate leftover drive-in movie popcorn while we enjoyed the beautiful lights.
We spent the rest of July and August going to the beach, parks, library, and chillin at home.
Someone gave us this little slide for the boys. Perfect!
The kids always use this window at the park to play "restaurant"
She was excited to help me do some weeding. I'm soaking up their helpful attitudes while they last!
Jenna's really been getting in to board games - Paul is loving it!
Oh, and my garden did better than I expected! We got about 6 strawberries (which I hear is really good for the first year planted, I don't know), a bunch of green beans, some handfuls of kale, and the squash plant got so big it was stealing sun from everything else. Now I'm waiting for all my peppers to turn red. I'm excited!
