Christmas

Paul and I decided when we got married that we wanted to have a Christ-centered Christmas and hopefully not get caught up in the commercial aspect. I got the idea from a friend of a friend's blog (found here) to have nightly devotionals teaching about Christ and lessons from the scriptures. We put an ornament that represented each night's lesson on a 3' tree. Jenna loved it, because she got to ring the bells while we sang and then open up the ornament and hang it on the tree. Once we put the lights on, Jenna would hurry to turn them on in the mornings and say "Happy Birthday, Jesus!"
It was wonderful to spend a little of everyday thinking about our Savior, and we will definitely do it again next year!
