Bedtime Routine

Jenna has been seriously hard-core taking care of her babies lately. She changes their diapers, feeds them, takes them on walks with us in the play stroller, takes them in the car with the play carseat, reads to them, puts them on the potty, and tonight she fully incorporated her baby into bedtime:
Diaper: "baby change diaper change now!" She wipes the baby and puts on one of her own diapers.
Prayer: "baby fold awms, too!" She holds the baby on her lap and folds her arms, while repeating the last two words of each sentence we say. I love kid prayers!
Scriptures: "baby pick spictures tory!" Then she uses the doll's hand to flip to a page and pick the story.
Book: "baby's turn!" After we've read it through once, Jenna reads it to the baby herself. Usually she says a few words about what she sees in the pictures.
But my favorite part was song time. Jenna's favorite songs to sing are London Bridge, Itsy-Bitsy, Twinkle Twinkle, Shake (a wiggle-song we learned at the library), Book of Mormon stories, and Head-Shoulders-Knees-Toes. It's so funny to see Jenna making her baby do all the motions (and clap after each song). You have to picture Paul, myself, Jenna, a baby doll, and a rubber duck doing London Bridge - it's pretty funny!
And then she throws her baby and as many stuffed animals and toys as she can into her bed, turns off the light, hugs and kisses, lays down, and says "bye daddy, bye mommy", and we don't hear another peep all night, usually. I assume that she plays for a bit before falling asleep and the "bye" is her way of saying "get lost". BUT, she's good, so... I'm happy!

p.s. Today she told Andrea and I both NO when we tried to help her hold little Joshua, and she tries to pick him up herself. She doesn't care that he's literally half her size! She definitely has to be supervised when Josh is around!
